Riccardo Alberghi

I am a Research Assistant in the Department of Computing Sciences at Bocconi University, where I am also pursuing an MSc in Computer Science. I previously earned a BSc in Mathematics there.

My research focuses on making AI systems more efficient and capable. In particular, I work on language-model post-training, studying questions that range from how data representations shape learning to the development of reinforcement-learning algorithms.

Outside research, I am passionate about astronomy. Rather than spending my nights simply admiring the sky, however, I often end up writing software to process astronomical images (perhaps not the wisest choice). I created Aberrations Remover, a physics-based AI model for correcting optical aberrations, and I am incredibly proud that it has been downloaded more than 24,000 times.
